Fife: Forthview parish church was formed on 1st January 2024 as a union of five churches: St Fillan’s Aberdour; Dalgety; Inverkeithing; North Queensferry; and Rosyth. The Fife Presbytery Mission Plan allocates us a team ministry of three ministers of sacrament and word. Worship continues in all 5 churches despite the 3 positions being in vacancy. The Forthview congregations are enthusiastic about the future and eager to see things move forward.

We had little in the way of precedent when conceiving our basis of team ministry. With experience, and once ministry team is in place, there can be opportunity to review it.

We are operating initially with 5 joint session clerks as we feel our way into the union. We have excellent teams in place for finance, property, safeguarding, website and roll keeping.

Our kirk session is functioning well. They have voted to depart on whether to accept ministers in same sex relationships.
